Fed up of being stuck at home during lockdown 2.0? What better time to start doing things that are going to elevate your life? From starting side hustles, to sussing out hidden blocks, we’ve got you covered:
5 ideas of things you can do today to elevate your life
1. Start a side hustle
Always thought about starting a new business or hobby? If you’re stuck at home during lockdown, there’s never been a better time to give something new a try.
Think of something you’re really passionate about and that you feel you’d like to explore and start to make a plan. Study the topic, watch videos, take courses – do what you need to do to get your side hustle up and running while you’ve got the chance.
2. Read some books that may just change your life
Books can be inspiring, motivational and even downright life-changing. Now is the perfect time to pick up those books you’ve always meant to get around to reading and see what impact they can have on your life.
3. Do some digging
Not digging out in the garden, but digging in that head of yours. Many of us get held back by our subsconsious beliefs and so doing some digging as to what is lurking deep in our minds can be extremely beneficial.
Ask yourself, do you believe you’re worthy of receiving great abundance? If not, why not? More often than not, there are some big limiting beliefs (often resulting from childhood) that make us feel we’re not worthy of success. You need to ask yourself what those limiting beliefs are before you can begin to switch your mindset around fully.
4. Create some new affirmations
Repeating affirmations is a great way to train the subconscious mind into believing what you’re saying. It may feel like a lie at first, but with practice, repeating affirmations can be highly effective.
Think of some affirmations that really resonate with you and repeat them often. Perhaps write them in your diary or on a post-it note that you can stick on a mirror at home.
Here are some examples:
- I am a money magnet – money comes to me easily and effortlessly
- I believe in myself
- I deserve to have the best life
- I am worthy of good things
5. Get into the habit of meditating
Whether you choose to sit in silence, enjoy reciting chants, or perhaps you prefer listening to guided meditations, it’s widely accepted that meditating can work wonders for your mental health and also your health in general. Meditation can help to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, give you more energy, help you to visualise more clearly, along with various other benefits. Even if you just set aside 10 minutes each day, this is a daily practice that has nothing but good effects on your health.
Whilst this is indeed a challenging time, we can also choose to make it a time full of positivity, new challenges and gratitude.
