Seeing various bloggers and Instagrammers featuring clothing from Zaful has made me curious about the brand. They’re known for selling very cheap clothing and I’ve heard really mixed reviews about them. I really enjoy exploring creating a luxe lifestyle without spending a fortune and mixing cheap items with more expensive pieces. When I got asked to write an honest Zaful review post*, I decided it would be an interesting feature for this blog.
Let’s see how I got on!
Wanting a pair of really cheap sunglasses for when I’m in the garden etc, I thought I would take a look at their sunglasses fashion page. Seeing several of them had good reviews, I chose the Full Rim Black Sunglasses. The
I much prefer buying sunglasses in a bricks and mortar store, so I can try them on first because I don’t feel that I suit every pair I try on. For the super cheap price of less than £4, I think this pair are actually pretty decent. I’m not sure they completely suit me though, so I probably wouldn’t try ordering sunglasses online again.
After seeing how cheap the jewellery is, I really wanted to try some out. The combination of gold and marble in this Triangle Stone Layered Necklace really appealed to me.
Again, for how cheap the item is at less than £3, I thought the quality was fine.
I also wanted to try a piece of clothing. I thought it would try the Collarless Leaf Kimono, thinking it would look nice with white jeans when the weather’s warm.
In terms of quality, it didn’t seem to be too bad. One thing that took me by surprise was the sizing. After seeing many comments on so many items that their clothing is often very small, so it’s advised you order a size up, I was surprised to find that the ‘small’ kimono I ordered is very large.
The leaf images were rather large and blurry, which I wasn’t particularly keen on.
I feel that this is just too big for me and because of this and the fact I’m not happy with the design, I won’t be wearing it with jeans. Would I wear it to the beach? I’m not sure.
So, what did I think of Zaful overall?
If you choose to shop there, I really recommend reading customer reviews before purchasing. This will really help you to make an informed choice as to the quality of the item, how accurate the sizing is and whether the item actually looks like it does in the picture. There were several comments on reviews of various items that said the clothing didn’t look exactly like the picture on the website, which is never good.
Personally, from my experience and other reviews I’ve read, I think they do offer good value sunglasses and jewellery. I prefer to invest in more expensive jewellery, but sometimes it’s nice to have cheaper options too that you’re not worried about losing when you’re travelling etc. I get the impression you can also find great value swimwear, but hearing how skimpy the swimwear usually is really put me off!
I think the quality and sizing at Zaful is really hit and miss. I guess you can’t expect amazing quality at the prices they offer, so it’s really up to you if you want to take the risk.
Let me know if you’ve ever tried shopping at Zaful or similar cheap online stores, or if you ever would.
