Why I look forward to the colder months

Why I look forward to the colder months

I used to hate autumn and winter. The dark mornings and evenings, the much needed layers of clothing and the seemingly never-ending cold weather. Nowadays though, I find it all to be much more bearable. As much as I’m not a fan of very cold weather and I hate snow and ice with a passion, I might even go as far as to say that I look forward to the colder months. There’s just something so enjoyable about getting cosy on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate or green tea and something great on the TV.

We’ve been thinking of upgrading one of our TVs to something bigger and better. Panasonic* is an electronics company that I’ve always rated highly when it comes to TVs, so when they got in touch to collaborate on a post, I jumped at the chance. They’re definitely a brand I would purchase from again. The Panasonic Oled TV is a 4K Pro HDR TV that looks like it has insanely good quality and provides an amazing way to watch films, in particular.

There seems to be so much more to watch on TV at this time of year. It’s nice to have both XFactor and Strictly Come Dancing on every weekend throughout autumn. Our favourite show during the colder months is always I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. It never fails to make us laugh and Ant and Dec are hilarious. It’s nice to have something we both love watching on the TV every single evening for a while.

Why I look forward to the colder months

Whereas I used to love nothing more than going out for the evening, staying in and putting our feet up is just as good! I think the temptation to stay in the warmth at this time of year is just too great.

I love spending our evenings in the summer having barbecues and being out in the warm weather, but somehow I find it just as nice now to get cosy indoors when it’s cold outside too. Maybe it’s the Christmas lights twinkling in the background, the festive treats and the glow of scented candles that makes it all so appealing. Not to mention getting to drink out of Christmas mugs. You’ve got to love a Christmas mug!

By the way, if you have a Dolce Gusto machine, you simply have to try the Caramel Chococino hot chocolate drinks – they are delicious and the nicest hot chocolate I’ve ever had.

Do you look forward to the colder months? Let me know what you love about them and if you love watching I’m a Celebrity too! I’ll be so sad when this series finishes!

I never used to be a big fan of the nights drawing in either, but having some good shows to watch on a high quality TV does make them a lot more bearable! The Caramel Chococino you’ve been enjoying sounds divine, maybe I’ll put a Dolce Gusto machine on my Christmas list hehe!

When I was younger I loved and lived for the hot weather. I’d enjoy the days on the beach with the sand between my toes. Now a days I too love a cozy couch or bed to watch tv shows or a laptop. The Christmas lights are my favorite from the end of November to early January, so pretty!

We watch a lot of shows – Netflix or things like that and in the summer we always take my laptop out into the garden in the evening and watch it out there cos it gets so damn hot in my room but it’s always nice to cosy up in bed in the winter with tea and chocolate! This was my first year watching Strictly as well – I’m SO thrilled Joe won!

My Mum and Dad have watched Strictly ever since if first started. I seem to dip in and out of it but I love having it to watch every weekend for weeks x
