Luxury body care: Malée body conditioning cream

Malee body conditioning cream

When I got invited to try out Malée Body Conditioning Cream, I was really excited to give it a go. Sold at £20 and available from Harvey Nichols as well as the brand’s own website, I had high hopes for this cream.

Finding out a little background information about the brand was really interesting. Named after the founder’s great grandmother who was affectionately known as ‘Malée’, the name is a term of endearment for a gracious learned woman in the language spoken by a tribe in Nigeria. Africa is a big inspiration for the brand and the circular symbol in the company’s logo references African earth wisdom.

Arriving really well packaged in a box wrapped in white ribbon, at 200ml, it’s a really good size tube of product.

The bold green packaging of this product really appealed to me. It screams nature and luxury combined and looks fabulous sat in my bathroom cabinet. It’s the kind of item you really want to leave on show, not keep hidden away.

I’ve been using the cream for a few weeks now to really put it to the test and I’ve been enjoying using it.

One thing I hate is if a body cream is greasy and hard to absorb. I had no such problem with this cream – it absorbed really easily into the skin and was a dream to use.

The thing that really stands out about this product is the scent. As someone who always showers in the morning, it’s nice to use products that smell invigorating to wake me up, and invigorating is definitely a word I would use to describe the scent of this lotion. Featuring citrus, mint and patchouli, the Verdure scent is perfectly complimented by the green packaging.

Providing ‘conscious luxury’, as they call it, their products don’t contain animal-derived ingredients, parabens or silicones. All products are sustainably sourced and cruelty-free. All of which makes me like them even more!

I’ve really enjoyed using the Malée Body Conditioning Cream. Using this product felt like a luxurious experience, right from the way the item was packaged, through to applying it to the skin. Anything that makes the everyday feel luxurious is a winner to me!

This sounds like a product that I would love to try it out, Jenny! I love how the brand is named after the founder’s grandmother, that’s a really sweet and personal touch that makes shopping with smaller companies are really feel good experience! I love the packaging as well, I’d also have this bottle out on display! It’s great that the cream absorbs so easily and leaves no residue, the citrus scent is right up my street! Very happy to hear about this brand’s cruelty free and sustainable ethos as well, that’s so important!
