So apologies that this post is going up later than planned. Sunday was a super busy day because we had the first viewing on our home (eek!), plus we were trying to sort out everything to send to our solicitor. Yesterday the weather was so lovely that we spent the entire day relaxing, which was really needed to be honest.
Let’s see what I loved last week.
Getting compliments on our home
As I mentioned in my previous Luxestyle Loves post, we’ve been getting our house ready to sell. On Monday, the estate agent came to take the photographs and write a description. He was really complimentary about our house, saying how fabulous the gardens looked and how impressed he was with the way we’ve decorated and renovated the property. After working so hard on the house since we moved in, it was so lovely to receive such lovely comments from someone who sees so many houses as part of his job!
Our house officially went on the market on Tuesday, which was so exciting. Seeing the photos of our home online was pretty surreal. We’re so pleased with how they look and the write up the estate agent has compiled really echoed how complimentary he was when he visited. Even the administrator at the firm commented in her emails how lovely the house looks, which made my day all over again!
Great finds in TK Maxx
One of my favourite shops is Homesense, or the home section of TK Maxx. They have so many lovely things in there. We nipped in at the weekend to have a browse and found these marble and gold heart-shaped coasters and I just couldn’t resist getting them.
Sitting outside in the lovely weather
It was so warm here on Sunday. We visited my Mum and Dad for the evening for a BBQ and to go through the paperwork to send to our solicitor. My Mum is really good with these kinds of thing so she helped us to make sure everything was filled in correctly. I never realised just how complicated selling a house would be – the amount of paperwork we’ve had to read through, fill in and compile has been insane already! It was lovely for it to be warm enough to sit outside for much of the evening, without feeling the slightest bit cold.
Another week, another recommendation of a post from one of my favourite blogs, InTheFrow. I read her Top Tips and a Checklist for City Centre Flat Hunting and felt that it would be a super helpful read for anyone who is thinking of moving to a city centre flat. She’s made so many points that you may not have otherwise have thought of.
I also really enjoyed reading Why You Are Good Enough (Despite What You Might Tell Yourself) by The Lovecats Inc. Helen provides a great reminder that we are all good enough, not to mention that Instagram is just a highlight reel and we need to stop comparing our lives to what we see on there.
I hope you had a lovely week! Let me know what you got up to.
