So I’ve been wanting to try something new on my blog for a little while now. Introducing Luxestyle Loves, a weekly roundup of things I’ve loved during the week.
There are so many things I want to share with you every week, but often they don’t fit in well with the posts I’ve got written. I also find so many fabulous blog posts every week that I really want to share with you, my lovely readers, so I thought this would be the perfect way to include my favourite posts of the week too.
Well it’s been a rather miserable week here weather-wise on the whole. However, I’ve been feeling the opposite of miserable many times. One thing that put a huge smile on my face was Dan bringing a big bouquet of flowers home to cheer me up after I’ve been feeling ill a lot recently. It was such a lovely surprise and reminded me of how incredibly supportive he is and how lucky I am!
I love having fresh flowers in the home, and one that’s as bright and cheery as this lovely bunch is putting a smile on my face every single time I look at it!
We try to eat healthily as much as we can, but I also think it’s so important to treat yourself too. This week, we bought some profiteroles from Marks and Spencer for a midweek dessert and they were delicious.
Planning to move house
This week has actually proved to be rather exciting. After discussing in my January Luxe Letter how we were disappointed to put moving home on hold, things may be about to change. We may well be moving pretty soon and this makes me so happy! Although we were waiting to be able to move to our favourite area, we’ve decided to move somewhere else in the meantime.
Knowing that we might be putting our house on the market within the next few weeks means we’ve had an extremely busy week beginning to get it ready to sell. I’ve written a list of things we need to do and it’s a little long to say the least! There are so many small DIY jobs we need to complete, painting to re-do and we’ve already started a deep clean of the entire house. Our oven door has never sparkled quite so much since we bought it!
The lovely Sophie Cliff shared 10 career lessons she’s learned so far, which I thought was a really helpful post packed full of useful advice. In particular, I love that she’s mentioned that it’s okay to make mistakes. As someone who dreads making mistakes and is mortified when I make them, she provides a valuable reminder that everyone else makes mistakes too and that it’s perfectly okay. We’re all human, after all.
As someone who is a perfectionist, Paula’s post about about overcoming perfectionism really resonated with me. I found the advice she has provided to be super helpful. If, like me, you struggle with the need to do everything perfectly, you will really enjoy this read.
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. Let me know what you’ve been up to!
