Luxe Letter September 2017

Luxe letter September 2017

To you, my beautiful reader, my luxe letter September 2017. Well, what a month it was! It was exciting, daunting, busy, relaxing, cold, warm, the start of new beginnings and the end of chapters. It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind really.

Things have been moving at a rapid rate with our house sale. After being busy preparing the house for sale in August, we were so happy to accept an offer and move onto the next stage. This month has been full of paperwork, phone calls and appointments to get the sale near to completion. A couple of days ago, we emptied the loft and began packing. You can only imagine the state the house is currently in! I will be so happy to finally be in our new home and to get settled and not have cardboard boxes everywhere!

One of the most fun things about moving to a bigger house is having a good excuse to do lots of shopping and buy new home pieces! There are so many things I’ve bought and I’ve been rushed off my feet so much that I haven’t been able to share anything on here yet, apart from my finds in the Next saleΒ and the marble heart-shaped coasters I shared in my August Luxe Letter. I can’t wait to show you what I chose from Next for my birthday too, but everything is currently stashed away at my Mum’s house for now. I think she will be just as glad as us when we have moved!

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I’ve started a freelance writing job. It sounds like I will have a really good amount of work, which is what I was hoping for and I’m hoping it will give me great experience for future writing work. This is yet another reason why I’ve been so busy this month.

Rose bouquet

I had the best end to the month with my birthday last week. Dan had booked the week off work so that we could spend the week together. It was lovely to have a week where we didn’t have to rush around and we could do whatever we wanted, although we did have to sneak in house move admin and the aforementioned loft emptying! I had such lovely presents for my birthday, including my beautiful bouquet. We went out for dinner with my parents on Friday evening to celebrate. It’s such a long time since we went out for dinner as a family, so it was lovely to catch up and reminisce and of course discuss our house move!

Something tells me that October is also going to be a busy month. Let me know what you got up to this September and what plans you have for the month ahead.

Much love,

September is always a busy time for us too. Congrats on selling the house! It sounds like a ton of paperwork but probably worth it in the end!?
