To you, my beautiful reader, my luxe letter July 2017. I hope that this month has been a very enjoyable one for you?
I know I say this far too many times, but the year really does seem to be flying by. I’ve heard the word ‘Christmas’ mentioned so many times this month! I guess forward planning is always good, although it’s a little soon for me to be thinking about it just yet!
Something that’s been making me so happy this month is this blog. I’ve been spending much more time working hard on content, engagement, SEO and so much more and the hard work is paying off. Blogging is, of course, so much more than just stats, but to see my stats increasing always brings a big smile to my face.
Accompanying the rising stats has been more opportunities landing in my inbox. To see businesses finding my blog, being really happy with what they see and choosing to email me is so exciting. I couldn’t be more grateful for how well things are going. Hopefully August will see more of the same! It just goes to show that persistence and hard work do pay off.
July has been quite a quiet month for me. One thing that I really enjoyed though was seeing my Auntie and Uncle. As they live a few hours away from us, we only see them once a year, if that, which is such a shame. Because they were travelling close to us en route to a mini holiday, they decided to call in at my parents’ so they could spend the evening with us.
We all sat outside in the sunshine, eating a delicious fish platter my Mum had put together, followed by a barbecue. Mum served us Eton Mess for dessert, with perfectly crunchy and chewy meringue. My Dad, Dan and I took the dog for a walk when my Auntie and Uncle had left, enjoying the warm evening.
Spending time with family and enjoying good food together is one of the simplest things, but always a happy occasion.
It’s been so nice to spend so much time outside when the weather has been good. Something I used to see as a chore, gardening is now something I’ve realised I enjoy, so I’ve been glad to be able to be pottering around in the garden again this month.
Although at the moment, the weather seems to be unsure what it wants to do, sunny and warm one minute and then cool and raining the next. We will have to wait and see what August has to offer!
I hope you had a wonderful July? Let me know what you got up to and if you have any plans for August.
