I can’t believe yet another birthday has been and gone. It feels like hardly any time at all since my birthday the year before. Where is the time going? It really does seem to be true that the older you get, the faster time appears to go. Dan and I appear to have developed birthday traditions, and this year has been no exception!
For our birthdays, we go to Cheshire Oaks, have lunch at Pret a Manger in between shopping, and then go out for dinner in the evening. After much debating about where to go, I decided we may as well do what we usually do, as it always equates to a nice trip out.
We spent the morning browsing the outlet shops, finding some bargains along the way. My friend is having a baby and I found the cutest baby outfit in Gap, which I can’t wait to show her! I was dying to send her a photo of it but I want it to be a surprise, so I showed it to my Mum instead!
Questioning whether or not to try somewhere different, we settled on our usual Cheshire Oaks lunchtime habit of eating at Pret a Manger. All of their food is so tasty and freshly made, which I think makes all the difference.
Prosciutto baguette and a chocolate and popcorn bar? Yes please! Delicious food as always. I wish there was a Pret a Manger closer to where we live.
When we’d finished eating, we did a little more shopping at Cheshire Oaks and some other nearby shops and then we nipped into Marks and Spencer on the way home. I picked up some pyjamas and a pair of slippers.
Aren’t they the cutest? They’ve even got heart-shaped noses! I couldn’t resist!
I had so many amazing presents from my lovely friends and family.
I love L’Occitane products, so it was a nice surprise to receive this adorable set with the cutest emery boards and lip balms and hand creams. Perfect for this time of year when my lips and hands get so dry.
My parents always get me the most amazing gifts. Even though I tell them every year not to get me anything, they are beyond generous.
I do think my Mum had an ulterior motive with this delicious box of fudge though, as she was all too happy to share it with me. I didn’t even get the chance to take a photo of it until half of it was gone!
Another year gone, another lovely birthday. Maybe next year we’ll do something different, but I quite enjoy our birthday traditions!
